I started dancing when I was just 4 year’s of age.

My father and my grandfather were both Irish Dancer’s so being taught to dance was just part of life. When I was young during the summer holidays my parents took me to Ballygarry House Hotel every Sunday night to a dance there. My dad took me out in all the waltz’s… and foxtrots where you learnt how to do it right or you got a cranky look and the frown. Over the years between Irish Dancing, Set Dancing, Waltzing, Foxtrots and Jive’s I was well armed for any occasion. I competed in many competition’s throughout the years both at local and national level and the practice at home the night before a competition was something I will always remember having the grandfather sitting in the corner giving advice.
When I was 15 a few neighbour’s asked my mother if I would teach the local kids how to dance so it started from there on a Friday evening in a room at my parent’s house. By the time I was 18 I was teaching adults and children in different venues around Kerry.

Teaching couple’s to dance for their wedding started back in 2001 when friends of mine Brenda and Jimmy were getting married and asked me to teach them how to dance for their wedding. From there word spread and over the year’s I have taught a lot of couples to dance for their wedding.
